Joe Speck
A lifelong native of Niagara, Joe now works from his studio in Jordan. Before devoting himself full-time to fused glass, he was a successful poultry farmer, selling the farm in 2002. Always being creative with wood and metal, but looking for a different medium, he took an introductory course in stained glass at Niagara College.
The "glass bug" had bitten and he now shows classic signs of withdrawal if not exposed to glass cutting at least
once a day. Since then, he has completed courses at Sheridan College in glass casting, fusing and flame-working, as well as workshops with well-known North American glass artists.
